bulletTransport: timetables for Spondon Flyer and train timetables can be downloaded from here.
The new 19 service by Arriva started in October 2005, providing a route between the City centre and Spondon village via Borrowfield Road, Milldale Road and Arnhem Terrace. Route details and timetable is here.
bulletFor transport at a more leisurely pace see the Derby & Sandiacre Canal Society Web site. Society meetings are held at Gregory's, Nottingham Road, Spondon. This project is being supported locally by the Village Improvement Committee of the Community Association.

bulletLocal churches: St. Werburgh's and Spondon Methodist Church
bulletLocal schools - basic information can be found on the Derby Evening Telegraph website. St Werburgh's Primary, West Park Secondary and Borrow Wood Junior also have their own websites
bullet Derby City Youth Service runs a youth club at the Scout Centre, Stoney Lane for 11-19 year olds every Thursday from 6.15pm to 8.45pm. Contact details here
There is also a Connexions session every Thursday (from 10am to 11.45am)  in the Common Room, Craddock Avenue and from 12.15pm to 2.45pm at the Asterdale Children's Centre, Borrowash Road.
