Spondon Community Association was  formed in 1977 and is a registered charity (number 506901) that aims to provide for the welfare of residents of Spondon. It acts as an umbrella organisation for other Spondon groups of all types. One of its major functions is to run the Village Hall as a facility in Spondon, built after a major campaign by the Association finally succeeded in 1981.

The SCA now has a new sub-committee, the Village Improvement Committee, further details are here. Details of past and planned VIC events are here and some of the longer-term projects are here.

After the 2004 competition, we were entered to represent East Midlands in Britain in Bloom - and won that! We are now set to repeat that in 2007 - we hope! See also the VIC page for details of what is happening this year.
